Dru Snowdonia Mountain Lodge

I have recently started a new chapter in my life; I have just come back from the Dru Snowdonia Mountain Lodge in Bethseda, North Wales and started a wonderful course in Dru Meditation Teacher Training!! I met some amazing people and made new friends. What an amazing adventure it is to follow your own dreams. Thank you to the eternal universe for guiding me on my new path…

The weather was very cold and the tops of the mountains were snowcapped, being surrounded by such beauty makes you feel almost dizzy and so at one with nature. The first day we spend learning how to sit comfortably, you never realize just how difficult this could be until you try it! With the support and help from the Dru team, I was able to find the best way to stay comfortable.

I learned that learning to still the mind is not as easy as it seems, the balances of the two forces alertness and relaxation is very important in meditation. Learning to accept each noise, each random thought that enters the head and the bodily senses and to stay still is quite a challenge! On the last day I had an amazing sense of stillness during our meditation session. I’m really looking forward to the next module in April…
