I am in my late 60's and joined pippa's yoga class approx 6 years ago. I had never done yoga before but suffered with back problems due to wear and tear and insomnia. I had heard that yoga could benefit both of these conditions and I wasn't disappointed. I am not a sporty type and was not very flexible and had no upper body strength. To begin with I found some of the postures challenging but pippa always demonstrated a slightly easier option and I was gradually able to work up to the full posture. She always explains the associated benefits of every posture and sequence and postures like the bridge and plank have been helpful for both my back, insomnia and upper body strength. In addition the breathing exercises she promotes are also beneficial particularly when it comes to relaxation and sleep. I have always found meditation difficult but pippa's relaxation sessions are nurturing and comforting and very welcome at the end of class to set you up for the rainier of the day and week. There are also social benefits of coming to class. You very quickly get to know others and we have formed quite a strong bond and meet up outside of yoga. This atmosphere is very definitely created by pippa who is an extremely caring, inclusive and considerate teacher. I highly recommend her classes to anyone looking to better themselves physically or mentally.

I joined Pippas’ yoga class as I was recovering from an acute illness, my aim was to regain health, flexibility and confidence, 5 years later I am still here! Not because it hasn’t worked, it has, I am still going as I have gained so much more than expected, a group of good friends and techniques to help with everyday stresses and strains, both physical and mental. After class each week I take home a great feeling of calm and relaxation. The classes are structured, warm ups followed by Energy block release movements, then posture work, often breathing exercises and relaxation at the end, all taught with Pippa’s care and attention for each student alongside a wonderful sense of humour. Most of all I love the spiritual quality which Pippa brings to each class, gently sharing her knowledge of depth of the movements, breathing exercises and postures which for me deepens my practice

I joined Free The Spirit's On-Line Yoga Class with Pippa during lockdown, and it was lovely to be able to do something positive with a group of others. I continued to attend On-Line because of work and travel times - it allowed me to still do something for me without having to rush around on a Tuesday night. I enjoy the class immensely. The pace is perfect - slow and gentle. But this doesn't mean we aren't doing anything! We are encouraged to get to know our body and to listen to it. We are asked to bring our attention to our posture, our tensions, our breathing. By the end of the class (which finishes with the most fabulous relaxation sequence) I genuinely feel like I've reset my body. I feel relaxed, tension free and the energy is flowing through me. I work at a desk several days a week and the class has really helped me consider better posture and understand movements I can make to ease tensions that might creep in. Pippa encourages us to work to our own abilities, and to be kind to ourselves. She also talks us through the benefits of each move and why they matter to our wellbeing. I really recommend Pippa and her yoga classes.

ONLIINE YOGA June 2022
I started yoga classes 7 years ago hoping it would improve my flexibility and balance. Dru yoga has been the perfect choice for me. I feel stronger, more agile and although my balance is a work in progress, with Philippa's help and patience I'm getting there. I'm 70 this year and can honestly say that I am mentally and physically in better shape than when I turned 60. The classes have taught me a different way of looking after myself that has influenced all parts of my life. Philippa's approach to yoga is perfect for all ages, she never pressures anyone to do anything they feel uncomfortable with but allows the more experienced and flexible to gain the most from each pose. Relaxation was something that I always struggled with but the relaxation techniques at the end of each class have given me the tools to help with bouts of insomnia and stress.

I had enjoyed yoga with many different teachers for a long time when I was lucky enough to find Pippa. Pippa was meant for Dru Yoga and Dru Yoga was meant for Pippa. Each class is different but incorporates varying blends of activations, EBR sequences, postures, breath work and relaxations. The result is not merely feeling fitter, more agile and somewhat relaxed. The priceless extra is a unique, total relaxation of mind and body, a sense of the wholeness of the mental and physical, of being grounded and ready for the world. Looking round at the end of a class, one simply knows other group members share these outcomes. That's why, with Pippa too, we became friends, meet outside class and socialise with amazing respect and candour. For me, for us, Pippa's Dru Yoga is for life.

I have attended yoga classes previously at various Leisure Centres that have been very much an exercise class. What I have enjoyed about Pippa’s class is that it combines the stretches you expect in yoga with focused breathing and relaxation. Pippa offers advice throughout the class to adapt different moves to account for individual ability. I find that I come out of each class feeling refreshed and relaxed and this is helping me feel less anxious in life generally.

Philippa offers an inclusive, nurturing and cohesive programme of Dru Yoga. Her lessons are suitable for all levels of experience and she combines a gentle approach with a progressive and strengthening regime that ensures all students exceed their expectations.
The environment is beautiful, sporting views of some of the most entrancing aspects of the Shropshire Hills.
The equipment Philippa provides really enhances the relaxation experience of her classes.

I have been attending Pippa’s Dru Yoga classes on a one to one basis for over 3 months now and I can honestly say that it is one of the best decisions I have made. Because I suffer from some very painful and debilitating conditions including arthritis, fibromyalgia and osteoporosis I doubted that any of the postures assumed in yoga would be possible for me , but that was before I met Pippa …..
Pippa is a very special person , and despite my limitations , during these past weeks she has patiently guided me through gentle stretching exercises with a keen awareness of how every position is affecting my body. Not only does she have an impressive knowledge of anatomy , her directions during the various postures are given with a gentle calmness which is enabling and positive.
I am now becoming aware of a subtle change in my body and in myself which is entirely due to Pippa . I feel more in control of the different muscles and parts of my body, my breathing has improved, my coordination is better and I am now working on my balance which has been a problem for some time.Another positive change is in how I feel ; I am more flexible, calmer , considerably less stressed and my sleep has also improved …..in other words quite a transformation .
For me a very important part of the lesson is the relaxation session which Pippa takes me through before the end ; I have found it to have a profound effect on me . It takes me into a deep sense of peace and calm , almost like a “leaving the body ” experience .
Afterwards I find my usually aching muscles more at ease and much more relaxed which is an amazing feeling.
Pippa works extremely hard to ensure that she is giving of her very best to everyone she teaches. She has a beautiful spirit and is a first class teacher; I would have no hesitation in recommending her highly to anyone interested in this therapeutic and gentle form of yoga.

I have been attending Pippa’s yoga classes for 6 months and have found the whole class very beneficial not only in mind, but also in body and spirit. Gentle movements have improved my posture and flexibility. I would recommend her classes and suggest 2 sessions per week would work wonders!!

I’ve been attending Pippa’s classes for a couple of months now and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with it.
Pippa is such a wonderful teacher.
She has a way in which she teaches that is not only calming and supportive – as a group. But I feel she connects with and cares for every individual on a one to one basis. Teaching with respect, whilst promoting self-confidence and self-worth.
I feel the class centres me and prepares me for the week ahead feeling more grounded, thankful and aware. I suffer with anxiety, fibromyalgia, chronic pain and a thyroid condition, practicing has not only improved my physical health but also my emotional and mental wellbeing massively.
As it is so adaptable in terms of ability I would encourage anyone and everyone to give it a go. I feel so much more contented, confident, peaceful and grateful, I could now never see myself not practicing Dru Yoga and I’m so glad I was introduced to it by the lovely Pippa.’

I have had several 1-1 yoga sessions with Pippa and found her knowledge, experience and understanding exceptional. She takes great care to assess individual health requirements and tailors each session accordingly. During the yoga practice she watches and checks progress carefully, ensuring optimum benefit is gained. All this is followed by comprehensive notes for personal practice. I can highly recommend her skills and abilities.

I have been going to Pippa’s class for a while now. I can honestly say that her yoga classes have changed my life.
Pippa is a wonderful yoga teacher, I feel a connection to her when she teaches. I feel at peace, but also energised, my mind is calmer, I worry less, my body feels more in tune and I feel more youthful and able to cope with life.
Dry Yoga is very special, Pippa’s way of teaching is amazing, she takes time and great care to ensure I do the postures correctly without me doing any harm to myself and explains the benefits of all we practice.
Last year I wanted to hide away, but with Pippa’s help I feel like a flower growing stronger each day with grace, ready to face the world. I feel more grounded and happy. Thank you Pippa, you are very special.

I have attended Philippa’s classes since the start and I find her very pleasant and knowledgeable about her subject matter and a great teacher.
I have more flexibility, strength and energy and I also find myself less stressful.
The classes are very relaxing and I have made new friends along the way. Since doing the Tuesday class, I have now found her Thursday class more strenuous but equally as enjoyable.

I can thoroughly recommend Philippa’s classes. She has a gentle and supportive, encouraging teaching style.
Dru is really helpful in rebalancing the mind and body. The techniques are easily learned and can be practiced at home to help alleviate stress, tension and to improve posture and balance. My core strength is much improved since starting Dry Yoga two years ago and I will definitely continue with it.

I really enjoy the structured format of Philippa’s Dru Yoga class. Her teaching is very clear and concise with alternative moves given to enable me to work within my own limits. I like the venue, practicing close to nature helps me to relax and switch off from the stresses of the day.

I go to Philippa’s intermediate yoga class on a Thursday night. If you want to improve your core strength and balance in a careful and gentle manner then I can fully recommend this class.
Philippa will guide you through what seems to be almost casual positions, but through careful attention to posture and breathing the moves are very effective and achievable. Each week I notice a gradual improvement.
